The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a sacramental process that forms individuals, responding to an often inexplicable call, for mission in the reign of God. 

The process is structured into periods that allow adequate time for individuals to discern readiness for entering into the full communion of the Catholic Church.

RCIA is for baptized Catholic adults who have had little or no religious upbringing, baptized adults from other Christian denominations and unbaptized adults regardless of any religious background.
