Accepting Reality
Our third day of walking began once more in the rain.  Although I wasn’t yet particularly bothered by the rain, it had lost a little of its “magical feel.”  Jim had injured his toe and we weren’t sure if he would be able to walk that day, but he was ready in the morning.  I was a bit cheered by my first cup of “Café American” (coffee without cream) and a chocolate croissant (which would end up being one of my favorite breakfast items in Spain.) Bring in Your Palms for Ashes
Please bring in your old palms from last year’s Palm Sunday and put them in the fire pit in the narthex. The Art & Environment group at St. Matthew will burn these to create the ashes that will be used on Ash Wednesday, February 18.
