4550 - Women's Club

Renewing and New Members Welcome for 2011-2012!
The St. Matthew Women’s Club welcomes all women of the parish to join us for spiritual, social and community enrichment.  We meet in the Cohan-Hansom Building the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm.  Annual dues are $30.00 and collected in October either by the church envelope system or a registration form.  For more information on getting involved with the Women’s Club, please email womensclub@churchofstmatthew.org.

The Women’s Club has continuously operated as an outreach ministry of St. Matthew Church serving the needs of our community, of the parish, and of the club membership.  Our club is vibrant, active, and continuously growing in size and scope.

Events and Activities

The Women’s Club hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Our events keep in mind our mission statement of serving spiritual, social and fundraising purposes. Our fundraisers provide the financial means for the Women’s Club to help the various charities and organizations that we support throughout the year.

            Valentine's Day Party

Please join us for a night of fellowship & celebration on Valentine's Day. We will be hosting a party at the Corner Pub on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 from 7 to 9PM. Appetizers will be provided.  Bring your significant other and join us on the patio.  RSVP to Tuttie Derrick at tedisama@comcast.net or call 662-9141, or to Caroline Crouch at cscrouch@comcast.net or call 796-5357. Hope to see you there!

Lambs to Lions Consignment Sale
Held each Spring and Fall, the consignment sale is the perfect opportunity for you to clean out your children’s closets and make room for new items. The sale accepts gently used children’s and maternity clothing, baby furniture and accessories, toys, books and videos. Many volunteers work countless hours during the twice yearly sale to make it such a success.  The Spring Consignment Sale is set for March 22-25, 2012.

In addition to our fundraisers and regular monthly meetings, Women’s Club members enjoy other activities sponsored by our group, including:

Women 2 Women Business Fair – An opportunity for all women of the parish to display/advertise items for their line of work. A great way to network and support women of the parish.

June Social Meeting – With summer just underway, we take time out of our regular meeting schedule for a social night.

The Noble Award

In 2004, our membership adopted a proposal to honor a member who has demonstrated their steadfast commitment to the Women’s Club. A loyal member who has consistently showed her dedication to service, Janice Noble, was the inaugural recipient of this award.  The 2010 Janice Noble Award went to Coburn Jablonski.
