Tiger Cub is the first step of Cub Scouting and is for boys in first grade (or those who are 7 years old). The Tiger Cub motto is "Search, Discover, Share," and Tiger Cubs get to do all of those things: search out new activities, discover new things, and share them with others!

The first thing Tigers need to do is earn their Bobcat badge. Among other things, that means learning the Cub Scout Promise and the Law of the Pack, so be sure to practice those at home and at every den meeting! Next, the Scouts will work on their Tiger Cub rank! First they will earn the Immediate Recognition Emblem by learning the Tiger Cub motto, the Cub Scout sign, and the Cub Scout salute. Next they will earn beads for their emblem by completing the five achievements: Making My Family Special, Where I Live, Keeping Myself Healthy and Safe, How I Tell It, and Let's Go Outdoors. Each of these achievements includes one family activity, one den activity, and one go see it outing.
