The Mystery of Holy Week
Holy Week is the annual celebration of the central mystery of the Christian faith: the saving death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 
Palm Sunday
We begin with Passion or Palm Sunday. In a way it serves as a “prologue” to Holy Week. We begin outside as we commemorate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. This begins in a festive spirit. At the Gospel, the Passion of Mark is proclaimed this year, and the tone of the Liturgy becomes more somber.

Vespers With the Music of Taizé
Join us for the final session of Vespers (Evening Prayer) in the main church this Sunday evening, March 29,  at 7 p.m.  Augmented by the music of Taizé, this service, with an atmosphere of contemplation, can lead you to a place of calm and reverence. Good Friday Stations of the Cross & Seven Last Words
On Good Friday, April 3, Fr. Mark Beckman will lead Stations of the Cross along the Path of Remembrance at 12 p.m. (weather permitting). Afterward, the devotion of the Seven Last Words of Christ will take place in the chapel. The devotion will conclude with the beginning prayer of the novena for Divine Mercy Sunday. 
Welcome Home: A Program for Returning Catholics
Have you been away? St. Matthew Catholic Church welcomes you home.  Come to our first gathering of a six-week program designed for Catholics who have been away and are interested in reconnecting.  It takes place on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at 12 p.m., in the Parish Conference Center. Living Stations of the Cross on Thursday
The 4th grade class at St. Matthew School will present the Living Stations of the Cross at 8 a.m. on Holy Thursday, April 2, in the church. All are welcome.

Easter Egg Hunt After Mass
The St. Matthew Men’s Club will be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt for the little ones of the parish following the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Easter Sunday, April 5. Each child can bring a basket and join the fun on the athletic field.
